How to Create an E-invoice on Duplo

Introduction 

Duplo makes it easy for businesses to create NRS-compliant e-invoices with confidence. If you have already set up e-invoicing on the NRS portal, you can generate invoices directly on Duplo and keep your billing process aligned with NRS requirements.

In this guide, you will learn how to generate an e-invoice on Duplo and ensure it is ready for validation and transmission on the NRS platform.

Preconditions: You must have enabled your business for e-invoicing on the NRS portal and also set up your account on the Duplo platform. You can learn how to set up your account here.

To begin:

  1. Log in to the Duplo dashboard.
  2. Click on “Invoice Management”.



  3. Select “Invoice to NRS”.
  4. You will be taken to the invoice management page, where you can manage your created and signed invoices.
  5. Click on “Create new invoice” to create a new invoice, as shown below:



  6. To ensure your business logo is displayed on all your invoices, add it on the Settings page. Once added, it will appear in one of the drop-down menus on the invoice creation page, as shown below:



  7.  Fill in the following information in the dropdowns:
    1. Invoice information
    2. Supplier information, i.e., your own business information
    3. Buyer information. This is the customer you want to receive payment from. You can select an existing customer or create a new customer by clicking on "add new customer".
    4. Invoice item(s). Enter details of the items being sold, together with any applicable tax.
    5. Payment information. This is your method of payment collection. Collections can be done through a Duplo wallet or another account that you have the option to create.
    6. Payee information (optional)
    7. Tax representative information (optional)
    8. Notes or remarks (also optional)
  8. Once you are satisfied that the information is accurate, click on “Create and validate invoice” to send your newly created invoice to NRS.
  9. You will be redirected back to the invoice management page, where you can see the status of your newly created invoice in the “created” tab of the table.



  10. Click on the “signed” tab to view your validated invoices and their payment status, as shown below:


And that’s it! You have created an invoice and can track its status.
